Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering

The Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering(OISE) is a full-time undergraduate major with four-year study. After graduation, a student will be awarded the Bachelor’s degree of Science degree. OISE is an interdisciplinary discipline interpenetrated with or closely related to computer technology, electronic science and technology, physics, and modern testing technology. The students majoring in OISE mainly learn the basic theory, design method, manufacturing process and testing technology in the field of optoelectronic information science and engineering. The OISE aims at cultivating students with the solid basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, optical engineering electronics and computer. The graduates of this specialty are required to systematically master the basic skills of optical information processing technology, modern electronics technology and computer application technology; in addition, they should own the ability in measurement and control fields related to sensing technology and have a good command of automatic control technology, photoelectric technology and technologies in some relevant fields. And they are able to engage in scientific research, teaching, technology development and management in the fields of photoelectric information, optical communication, laser technology, spectral technology, fiber optic sensing, optical design and related inter- disciplines.
